Daley Blind hopes that his former teammate Donny van de Beek will still get a serious chance at Manchester United. The Girona defender knows his qualities and still believes that the midfielder can be crucial for the English top club.

In the past, Blind and Van de Beek were both under contract with Ajax. Blind has a history with Manchester United, and in a conversation with The Athletic, he spoke about his experiences with his compatriot.
'Donny is truly a great guy and above all a very good player. However, major injuries have been an issue for him. It can be challenging to come back from that.'
'Donny is a true number 10,' Blind continues. 'And there aren't many teams that play with a true 10 in top football. I believe he can adapt to new positions if given the time. He has the quality to be a top player at United, but on the other hand, United waits for no one.'
Furthermore, Blind has a few former Ajax teammates in Manchester. For example, André Onana. 'He is one of the best goalkeepers in the world. He has a nonchalance, is complete, and if he keeps his head in the game, he can be one of the best goalkeepers in the world. He is a winner. Always wants to train more. I had a good relationship with him. And I also played with Antony at Ajax. He was a big addition when he arrived, and he showed his talent from day one.'
