Lecce coach Roberto D’Aversa does not expect miracles from his team this season, even though the club from the Apulia region of Italy is impressively in third place after five rounds. The big surprise in Serie A so far will visit Juventus on Tuesday evening.

Lecce, who finished sixteenth in Serie A last season, has impressively nestled into the top five, behind Internazionale and AC Milan but ahead of Juventus and Fiorentina. D'Aversa's squad faces a showdown with 'The Old Lady' (Juventus) on Tuesday.
At the press conference ahead of the encounter in Turin, D'Aversa stated that Lecce will not get carried away with their recent results. The Giallorossi (a nickname for Lecce) had victories, including one against Lazio. D'Aversa was asked if he sees a chance for Lecce to surprise the established order in a top league on their way to a national title, similar to what Leicester City did in the Premier League 2015/16 season.
'It's good and heartening to see so much enthusiasm and optimism around Lecce, but it shouldn't tip over into euphoria. Our fans are always allowed to dream, but we need to keep our feet firmly on the ground and play with focus,' the Lecce coach told Italian media.
'When I look at our statistics, we're making progress, but we also have to be realistic. Leicester had significantly more financial resources at their disposal than we do. That's why I don't think the comparison with Leicester holds. We shouldn't think we're better than Juventus now, even though we're definitely up for the fight,' concluded D'Aversa.
