Nicolo Fagioli's agent, Marco Giordano, denies the allegations made by the player's father. After it became known that Fagioli was involved in a betting scandal, father Marco pointed fingers at the agents.

'I won't comment on what my son, who plays for Juventus, might have done, but much of what I've read isn't true. Clubs and parents can never be fully responsible. It would be good if the players are warned by the agents. They should advise the players and make them realize the commitments you undertake when signing a contract with top clubs like Juventus. That justifies the money they earn.'
Giordano, who has recently started representing the Juventus player Fagioli, hits back at Fagioli Sr. 'The father said that nobody knew about it and placed the blame on those who manage the player's interests,' he told La Repubblica. 'All we can say is that our client, who plays for Juventus, already had problems when he signed with us, CAA Stellar. The first thing we told him was that he needed to seek treatment.'
'Nicolo, who is part of Juventus's squad, is addicted to gambling, a problem that arose when we weren't his agents. Nevertheless, we decided not to leave him on his own. We've tried to help him in any way possible, and I must say he's been behaving impeccably since he signed with us.'
