The much-discussed Victor Osimhen has released a statement expressing his love for Napoli and Naples. The top striker and star player of the reigning national champion unintentionally became the central figure in a TikTok controversy this week.

Napoli's social media department posted two videos on social media that strongly appeared to mock Osimhen. The two videos were removed, but not before they had already been viewed thousands of times.
A significant controversy erupted, and the Nigerian's agent threatened with legal action. The situation seems to have calmed down now. "Coming to Naples in 2020 was a great decision. The people have always shown me so much love and friendship, and I won't let anyone come between us," Osimhen posted on Instagram.
"The passion of the people in Naples has always encouraged me to play with fire in my heart and soul," continues last season's top scorer. "My love for the club remains, as I proudly wear the shirt." Despite the turmoil, Osimhen continued to perform for Napoli, scoring in the past two matches.
