Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund are on the verge of doing business. According to several German media outlets, the Austrian midfielder Marcel Sabitzer is set to move from the champion to the major rival.

Kicker and Sky report on Sunday evening of a lightning-fast agreement on a transfer fee of around nineteen million euros. The 71-time Austrian international, who was on loan to Manchester United under Erik ten Hag last season, reached an agreement with Dortmund earlier today.
In Dortmund, Sabitzer is expected to help fill the void left by Jude Bellingham, who moved to Real Madrid. Dortmund has already signed Felix Nmechea from VfL Wolfsburg, who can also play centrally in midfield.
The transfer is expected to be completed quickly, allowing Sabitzer to join the Dortmund squad in the United States.
At Bayern, Sabitzer still had two years left on his contract. With players like Joshua Kimmich, Leon Goretzka, Ryan Gravenberch, Konrad Laimer, and Jamal Musiala, there was fierce competition in Bavaria.
Sabitzer joined Bayern in the summer of 2021 with Julian Nagelsmann, who left RB Leipzig to take on the challenge at Der Rekordmeister. In 2014, Leipzig had already brought Sabitzer from his home country and then loaned him to Red Bull Salzburg for a season.
Last season, Bayern became champions in a thrilling finale based on goal difference. Dortmund, however, missed the opportunity with a 2-2 draw against FSV Mainz 05 on the final matchday.
