Thierry Henry is being considered to become the new coach of France Under-21. The French Football Federation (FFF) recently dismissed Sylvain Ripoll.

According to several media sources, including Le Parisien, the FFF has its eye on Henry, who is currently working primarily as a television analyst. The former top striker is considered a top candidate, so his appointment seems to be a matter of time.
After the dismissal of Ripoll, the French Federation is looking for a successor. He was let go due to a disappointing youth European Championship in Georgia and Romania. The 45-year-old Henry had previously worked as a head coach at AS Monaco and Montreal. He also served as an assistant coach for the Belgian national team.
"It was necessary to take a new direction for the 2023/24 season in order to create conditions for qualification for next year's Olympic Games. That is a major goal of the national team," the French Federation recently stated regarding Ripoll's dismissal.
