Denzel Dumfries was back on the training field with the Dutch national team on Monday. Coach Ronald Koeman is thus working with a fit squad towards the final Euro qualification match against Gibraltar on Tuesday evening.
Dumfries stayed indoors on Sunday, the only international to do so, while the rest of the starting team from the home match against Ireland had a cool-down training on the field. Now that the 27-year-old right-back from Internazionale is back in training, Koeman has all his 22 players available.
Earlier this international period, the coach saw defenders Jeremie Frimpong and Lutsharel Geertruida drop out due to injuries, while his original selection was already missing several players due to injuries. Nonetheless, the Netherlands secured their participation in the European Championship on Saturday.
Therefore, there is not much at stake in the away match against Gibraltar, although it would be good for the team's confidence if the Dutch win by a large margin. After all, on Saturday, they often lacked finishing in the home match against Ireland. In March, the home match against the minnows resulted in a 3-0 victory.
