Julen Lopetegui has given high praise to upcoming opponent Brighton & Hove Albion. The Spaniard will face 'the best football-playing team in the world' on Saturday with Wolverhampton Wanderers.
With several games less than their competitors, Brighton currently sits in eighth place in the Premier League. Of their last six matches, the team led by Joël Veltman has won two. Nevertheless, Lopetegui is immensely impressed by Brighton. 'They are very, very good. They play in a different way than all the other teams,' he said at the press conference ahead of their match.
'They are different, they attack in a different way, they can be dominant with the ball, they have various solutions for different parts of the field. They show they enjoy playing the game. Really fantastic work by Roberto De Zerbi and his fantastic players. In my opinion, Brighton is the best football-playing team in the world.'
Meanwhile, Wolverhampton must primarily look downward. It is currently in thirteenth place in the Premier League, eight points above the relegation zone. 'We will need many more points, that's for sure. We have suffered a lot and will continue to suffer until the end. Saturday is a big challenge, but also an opportunity for us.'
