Ramos, at only 21 years old, has impressive numbers in the Portuguese league. He made his breakthrough in the first team last season but truly flourished this year: scoring nineteen goals and providing two assists in thirty league matches. Ramos played a crucial role in Benfica's title victory.

Fernandes believes it's time for Ramos to take the next step. "Gonçalo has all the qualities to play in the Premier League," says Fernandes to Sport TV. "He is intense, puts good pressure, and is strong in the penalty area. He surprised me and the rest of the national team. If he keeps going like this, he has the potential to become one of the best strikers in the world, but he needs to prove it in an even stronger league."

Fernandes believes Ramos could be a good striker for Manchester United. "He has the qualities to play in the Premier League, and I mean that even at Manchester United. I think he could be of great value, but I'm not a technical director. If I were, I would make such decisions."
