Eden Hazard is keeping the minds occupied in England. While the 32-year-old winger has not yet determined whether he will continue his career or not, rumors about the Belgian are swirling. Crystal Palace is reportedly considering offering Hazard a one-year performance-based contract.
Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish believes that despite ongoing knee problems, Hazard can still contribute on the field for the London club. Additionally, he sees the former Chelsea player as having significant commercial value for Crystal Palace.
A transfer of Hazard would not pose a significant risk for the Eagles, as the Belgian would receive a performance-based contract from the club. If he doesn't get playing time, his salary would be minimal.
Whether a return to English fields will materialize remains uncertain. Therefore, Palace seems to be hedging its bets. The club appears to be further along with Julian Draxler at the moment. The PSG player is allowed to leave his club and has been training separately in Paris for a while. According to RMC Sport, the German player seems open to a transfer to London.
