Jordan Henderson is just included in the training camp selection of Liverpool. The midfielder has been under contract with the English club since 2011, but he could move to Saudi Arabia.
Club icon Steven Gerrard is now the coach of Al Ettifaq and he would like to see Henderson come.
They were still teammates at Liverpool and Henderson is seriously considering making the move to the Middle East. He is rumored to be able to earn four times as much in Saudi Arabia, compared to his contract with Liverpool, which runs until 2025.
However, the interest does not change Liverpool's plans. Henderson has been called up to go to Germany, where Liverpool is organizing a training camp and playing two friendly matches. Virgil van Dijk and Cody Gakpo are also among the 32-player selection that will take on Karlsruher SC and Greuther Fürth. Interestingly, Fabinho is not included in the squad, because unlike Henderson, he is finalizing a transfer to Saudi Arabia. Al Ittihad has reportedly reached an agreement with Liverpool.
